The Story of Sprigeo

Since 2010, Sprigeo has empowered school communities by providing anonymous reporting tools and safety services so every student feels seen, supported and heard.

Our Beginnings

2010 – Sprigeo is founded. Joe Bruzzese started Sprigeo after learning that 160,000 kids were skipping school every day because they didn’t feel safe. He knew something had to change.

Since then, Sprigeo has grown from a simple tip line into a trusted safety platform serving thousands of schools, including statewide tip line services in Oregon, Idaho, Illinois, Montana and Ohio.

Kids should feel safe in school. When they don’t, Sprigeo provides an effective way to let trusted adults know who can help.

Looking Out for Students

Sprigeo began as a bullying prevention tip line, giving students a confidential voice. As the challenges facing kids and teens have evolved, so has our platform.

Today, anyone can report any safety‑related threat anonymously — whether online, by phone or through our mobile app. Administrators receive real‑time safety intelligence through modern dashboards and instant alerts.

We also provide professional development training for school staff on mental health, suicide prevention and bullying prevention, along with resources like YouOkay.org for youth mental health.

Our 24/7/365 call center monitors tips and ensures that every report is heard. And our Panic Button App meets the criteria of Alyssa’s Law to help schools respond quickly in emergencies.
